Let’s Get Real!

 

Menopause gets talked about in such simple terms sometimes, but we all know it’s way more than that. I’ve been there, and so have many of you – those myths like “it’s just hot flashes” or “it only hits after 50” can leave us feeling confused and unsupported. Let’s bust them open together!

Myth 1: Menopause is just hot flashes.


Oh yes, hot flashes are common… and ANNOYING!! 😤 But they’re just the tip of the iceberg. It can mess with your sleep, mood, memory, energy, and even joint comfort. Weight shifts, skin or hair changes, vaginal dryness, lower sex drive – these are REAL and they impact our daily lives big time.

Myth 2: It only starts after 50.


Nope! Perimenopause often kicks in during our 40s (sometimes earlier), with hormone fluctuations causing symptoms that ebb and flow for years before periods fully stop. Your timeline is uniquely yours.

Myth 3: Everyone experiences it the same.


Far from it! Mild once-in-a-while hot flashes for some, 15-20 a day for others. Genetics, nutrition, exercise, and health all play a role. There’s no “normal” – just YOUR normal. Tune into your body and seek the support you need.

Menopause is natural, but that doesn’t mean we “put up with it.”
