Sarah Parker

I found my love for movement when I was a student at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC.
Forty-five years later I am still moving and teaching others to enjoy it too!
I have been teaching group fitness since the late 80's and providing personal training since 2003.
In 2009 I became a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) where I also received my Certified Personal Training license.
To earn these certifications I was required to learn and subsequently demonstrate the skills to train clients with pre-existing conditions such as bad knees, back injuries, post-op restrictions, shoulder replacements etc.
Thus, my passion for training seniors developed, as we all have special needs - do we not? ( YES, I am a senior myself)!
My strength in group fitness is my class content and ability to correct form to make sure everyone has the best chance to achieve their goals without injury.
I will also be able to help each participant modify an exercise to fit their needs. My weakest link is my music, so in Myrtle Beach (where I was before moving to CLT), my seniors gave me song ideas, which I welcome from you as well.
Additional certifications for me include: Golf fitness, Reformer Pilates, TRX, Mat Pilates, Water aerobics, and Functional Aging.
Looking forward to meeting you all soon!!
