
Whoo-Hoo! It’s July! That means it’s time for grill-out(s or cook-outs), swimming pools, baseball games, sun, brown grass, high water bills, and heat.
It also means it’s the anniversary of Thrive @ Cresswind! I am so happy and grateful I have the opportunity to work with you this year. It is a true pleasure.
When I was first asked to consider providing classes, I was not
sure I was the right “fit” for your community. Did I have time to put together a fitness program I thought would be of benefit to everyone? Self-doubt was high!
The start date to opening was a quick turn-around and I did not think we (me in particular) would be able to get all the moving pieces together in time.
With encouragement from my husband and mentors, I decided to “jump into the deep end.” I am so grateful I did!
My mission for Thrive @ Cresswind is to help everyone live longer, healthier, more energetic lives through movement, exercise, education, support, and fun.
I believe in providing quality group fitness classes and personal training sessions that are tailored to folks over 50 (not the 20’s something crowd most gyms cater to), that have appropriate modifications and options to allow everyone, regardless of their fitness level or experience, to participate and start feeling healthier, teach you WHY we do things the way we do them and HAVE FUN doing them is the best way to optimal health for all of us.
Honestly, the experience in a class is just as important as the movement or benefits of the class. Let’s face facts. We all know that exercise is the fountain of youth. By participating and working our bodies through strengthening, stretching,and aerobic movements, we can ward off, improve and even avoid some serious health issues. So why don't most of us do something?
We don’t make it interesting or fun.
I wanted our classes to be different. I know we had growing pains….the first scheduling system was not user-friendly or up to the task. But, thanks to all of you, we worked through the issues and were able to find a better solution. We have updated, changed times, changed formats of classes, and added free monthly community classes to continue to encourage everyone to start taking care of themselves just a little more.
I love what I do and what Thrive @ Cresswind does to help everyone live longer, healthier, more energetic lives. This is in large part due to all of you.
To show my gratitude all this month there will be little surprises and give-aways along with our FREE WEEK OF CLASSES at regular times and an extra week of FREE CLASSES at ALTERNATE TIMES.
